For customer-facing positions, name badges are encouraged to identify you and your affiliation with the university. All name tags and badges should follow the university brand standards.
Each badge should be ordered through Creative Services.
Each badge is comprised of a plastic face and magnetic backing.
The badge will include:
- A prefix (optional), employee name and department (University Department (ie. Student Life, Undergraduate Admissions, Business Office) Or
- A prefix (optional), employee name, department and school. (School Specific Department (Arts & Sciences, CPHS, Medicine, Law, AOE, Business, Education, Divinity, Engineering)
Note – This badge does not replace the photo ID Card, which can be obtained through IT Services.

Name badges are $8.00/each and will be charged to your department budget code.

No. Position titles should not be displayed for traditional employees.
Exceptions: Titles are acceptable for students who will be working on clinical sites, graduate students or student ambassadors.
Students should be clearly identified as students, not as official representatives of the university. Ex.
