Voter ID Requirements

North Carolina voters are now required to provide photo identification when voting in-person or by absentee ballot.

“Those who vote in North Carolina are asked to show photo ID when they check in to vote. Voters who vote by mail will be asked to include a photocopy of an acceptable ID when returning their ballot by mail. Many types of identification – including driver’s licenses, U.S. passports and State-approved student ID’s – will be accepted.”

Campbell Voter ID Card

The North Carolina Board of Elections approved Campbell University’s Voter ID card as a valid form of identification when voting.  Review the full list of acceptable photo IDs.

The Campbell Student Voter ID card is a physical card separate from the student ID and will be provided to Campbell students upon request.

Campbell University has adopted a process to issue voter photo identification card (Voter ID) to currently enrolled students who wish to vote in state and federal elections in North Carolina. Voter IDs issued through this process are separate from the campus identification card issued to all enrolled students and serve no other purpose than as a verified card issued by Campbell University to the student for use at a polling location in North Carolina as proof of identity.

Voter ID cards are available now at the ID Center in Bryan Hall.
