Band Involvement Scholarship:
Campbell University Band is the largest inclusive group on campus. Students of all levels of experience are encouraged to participate in this program. This includes:
- Not played since ‘x grade’
- Always wanted to but never did
- No band experience but played piano, guitar, or sang in choir
- No experience
The Athletic Band Staff are highly trained, understand the diversity, and set up students to be the best contributor to the program. There are many different opportunities of involvement. This includes brass and woodwind instruments, Drumline, and flag team/color guard. This scholarship is not based solely on talent or ability, but rather the student’s contribution.
All students participating in this program receive many additional benefits outside of their scholarship. Members will receive:

PGA Related Scholarships
The mission of the PGA Golf Management University Program is to recruit diverse and talented students and develop them into committed professionals by providing a comprehensive and progressive educational program designed to prepare future PGA Members for a life-long career in golf. Students will gain valuable work experience and enhanced playing and teaching skills, while fostering a sense of community through enjoyment and involvement in the game of golf.
PGA Playing Ability Test Scholarship– Incoming students who have successfully passed the PGA’s Playing Ability Test (PAT) within two years prior to enrolling full-time in the Campbell University PGA Golf Management Program will be awarded $500 per academic year valued up to $2000 awarded over four academic years.
Regional Scholarship– Scholarships awarded to the most qualified student from the state in which they are applying based on academic merit, playing ability, and financial need. Applicants must submit a 500-word essay describing in detail why they are the best candidate for the award.
Industry Employment Scholarship– Scholarship awarded to students with current experience working in the golf industry. Applicant must be currently employed at a PGA recognized golf facility working under the direct supervision of a PGA of America professional.
Campbell PGA Alumni Network Scholarship– Applicant is being recommended for acceptance into the PGA Program from a Campbell University PGA Golf Management Alumnus. Applicant must include a 500-word essay describing in detail why they feel they are the best candidate for the award.
PGA Family Scholarship– Applicant must be the child, grandchild, niece, nephew, brother or sister of a PGA of America Professional. Applicant must include a 500-word essay describing in detail why they feel they are the best candidate for the scholarship.
Industry Service Scholarship– The scholarship will be awarded to the student who has shown the greatest commitment to volunteer work and service to others through the game of golf. Applicants must submit a 500-word essay describing in detail why they are the best candidate for the award.
PGA Golf Management General Scholarship– Applicant must be an accepted student in good standing to Campbell University, the PGA Golf Management Program at Campbell University, and actively seeking a career in golf. The applicant must include at 500-word essay describing their experiences in golf and why they are the best candidate for the scholarship.

Teaching Scholars Academy
Campbell University’s Teaching Scholars Academy is a scholarship program designed to inspire the teacher leaders of the future. The focus of the Academy is to promote service and emphasize the need for teachers in rural, underserved areas of North Carolina. Teaching Academy Scholars are awarded $8,500 per year with no “payback” provisions or requirements. Scholars can major in any area of education with teacher licensure.
Awards remain in effect for the four years of undergraduate education, provided the student continues to be academically eligible while enrolled full-time in the Professional Education Program.
Selection criteria:
- Strong desire to make a difference through teaching
- Minimum GPA: 3.5
- Two Letters of recommendation
- 25 Volunteer Hours
- Minimum ACT & SAT scores: 24 and 1170
- A 500-word essay themed “Why I Want to Teach”
- Interview
The Teaching Scholars Academy is an enrichment experience and an opportunity for teacher candidates all to participate in leadership activities that will broaden their academic and social horizons. The students participate in about 20 leadership seminars. The program also engages teacher candidates in hands-on workshops that provide active learning opportunities. During the fall semester, scholars spend up to 30 clinical hours providing literacy support to Dunn Elementary students at the Community Collaborative Support Center. The spring semester is an exciting time to visit schools within the district and volunteer for school-wide programs such as, Leader in Me, Read Across America, and Battle of the Books. Teaching Scholars provide leadership within the Education Club and other programs across campus.

Truist Business Scholars Program:
The Truist Business Scholars Program is a cohort-based, four-year program limited to 20 incoming first-year students majoring in a business discipline. These students will have a unique experience during their time at Campbell University and the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, including an enriched academic experience, a scholarship award, and the opportunity to engage with faculty and fellow students in various activities outside of the classroom.
In addition to the scholarship, benefits include:
- leadership and mentoring retreats
- Scholar-cohort business classes
- 2-3 trips (cities have included DC, Greensboro, and Atlanta)
- Monthly social & academic events
- Alumni Mentors
