This monthly series brings together the Campbell community for conversations around vital topics that matter, and reflect Campbell’s commitment to graduate students with exemplary academic and professional skills who are prepared for purposeful lives and meaningful service.
Conversations range from explorations of leadership in underserved communities to important topics in Christian higher education and the global community.
Our commitment
A courageous conversation involves commitments from those participating. These are our commitments to one another:
- Be fully present.
- Listen with a view of wanting to understand.
- Be vulnerable and courageous.
- Honor silence, rather than using silence to gain an advantage.
- Embody grace.
Our process
A courageous conversation involves a process. It may be different depending on the topic but process facilitates purpose and creates meaning and value in the conversation.
- Who is here for the conversation?
- Introduce the topic and determine the purpose.
- Ask good and helpful questions. What do we hope to learn about ourselves, others, and the topic?
- Where do we go from here? What is our next faithful step?
