The Oscar N. Harris Student Union — a 110,000-square-foot facility designed to provide a social hub for Campbell students — is the heart of student life on campus.
The Student Union offers a:
- variety of dining options
- lounge, study, and meeting spaces
- two-story fitness and wellness center
- campus spirit store
- 200-plus seat multipurpose theater that can also convert to auditorium-style seating with at scenic view of campus
- banquet hall that can accommodate up to 800 guests
- home to the Student Government Association, Office of Student Life, Fraternity & Sorority Life, and student media

Mission
The Oscar N. Harris Student Union is a university resource dedicated to providing service and support for the advancement of the Campbell University students, faculty, and staff. The Student Union is a student-centered facility that supports student development, student learning, and student engagement by creating opportunities for connection and interaction. The Student Union strives to create a sense of community, by embracing the diversity of students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
History
The Oscar N. Harris Student Union was completed in spring 2020 and was named in lieu of a generous gift provided by Oscar N. Harris, a Distinguished Alumnus and longtime City of Dunn Mayor. The 1965 Campbell College graduate passed away on January 28, 2020 at the age of 80.

Alumni are welcome to visit the facility, but the fitness center, game room and movie theater will only be accessible with a currently valid Campbell ID unless they are being used for an alumni event.
The ballroom will not be open when there is not an event taking place. There are already myriad events scheduled for the fall semester.
Yes, the student union was designed with commuters in mind. There are lockers specifically for commuters that can be checked out at the Welcome Center / Information Desk.
No. The parking lots adjacent to the building are time-limited visitor parking spaces.
The union is located at the center of campus and is a short walk from most buildings where student parking is widely available.
